Ganna Maiboroda, Chairwoman of Public Organisation “All-Ukrainian Association Patriot,” spoke at the ceremonial diploma awarding for graduates of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Policy at Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University. She emphasized that education is not merely a diploma, but a mission—a conscious choice to be with people, for people, and for the future.
The ceremony celebrated graduates of the faculty, including those from the unique Department of Extracurricular Education. Ganna highlighted that nurturing children and youth through creativity, sports, science, and the arts is at the heart of education, serving as a cornerstone for children, families, and communities. These students began their studies during the pandemic and continued under the conditions of war. Receiving their diplomas today, they are poised to become the changemakers who will improve the system for the better.
Among the graduates are future teachers, educators, and social workers, who will daily take on the challenging but crucial work of being present for children, families, and communities. Their professions are centered on care, trust, support, and shaping the future.
Ganna Maiboroda, also a stakeholder in extracurricular education programs, expressed her sincere gratitude for the fruitful partnership with the department and faculty. Through joint efforts—including drafting concepts for extracurricular education under martial law—these initiatives support cultural development, empower communities, and allow children and youth to realize their potential.
In her address to the graduates, the Chairperson stated:
“The state is not only about weapons, institutions, or statistics. It is about people. And you—these people—will be alongside those who need support the most. That is why your work is fundamental for Ukraine.”
NGO “All-Ukrainian Association Patriot” extends heartfelt thanks to the faculty, leadership, partners, and, of course, the graduates for their strength, resilience, and conscious choice. Special appreciation goes to the atmosphere of sincerity, respect, and inspiration that defined the day. Our deepest gratitude also goes to the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine—thanks to you, we continue to live, work, study, and build the future.
