Learning to Save Lives: Stop The Bleed at Rusanivskyi Lyceum

What would you do if someone’s life depended on your actions? The 11th-grade students of Rusanivskyi Lyceum now have a clear answer, as they have completed the Stop The Bleed course with instructors from the NGO All-Ukrainian Association “Patriot.”

Why is this important?
Any of us might find ourselves near someone who has lost consciousness or suffered a severe injury. In such moments, not minutes, but seconds determine the outcome. Basic knowledge and skills in stopping critical bleeding can mean the difference between life and death.

Why do we teach children?
Because they are the future. Every student who learns these skills becomes someone who can help a friend, a family member, or even a stranger. We want children not only to dream of a bright future but also to know how to act in challenging situations.

During the course, students learned to:
• Apply tourniquets correctly and quickly.
• Perform wound packing effectively.
• Stay confident and take action under stress.

These skills empower children, making them stronger, more responsible, and ready to help.

We are open to collaboration with other educational institutions because we believe that knowledge saves lives. If you want your students to acquire these crucial skills, reach out to us—we can train even more together!
