SupportOn the occasion of International Children’s Day in Geneva, a landmark event took place — the opening of the tenth international exhibition of the project “Faces of the Ukrainian Dream.” On the Place des Nations, in the heart of international Geneva, near the European office of the UN, the strong voice of Ukrainian children was heard, children who dream of peace, returning home, and the future.
The event took place near the famous monument “Broken Chair,” which symbolizes the importance of banning anti-personnel mines and cluster bombs. This is the place where, traditionally, the voices of those who fight for human rights all over the world are heard.
The exhibition, initiated by the public organization “All-Ukrainian Association “Patriot,” became possible thanks to cooperation with Swiss public organizations. It is a powerful act of humanitarian diplomacy that emotionally addresses the world, telling about the suffering of Ukrainian children who lost a safe childhood due to the military aggression of the russian federation. The exposition draws attention to the wounds, pain, and fate of abducted and deported Ukrainian children.
A special festive atmosphere was created by the performances of 55 talented children from children’s groups, among them the Martial Arts Theater Wu-Way, the Ukrainian dance school of the “Ukrainian School in Geneva” of the association “Ukrainky Shveytsariyi,” and the dance collective Ukraine reborn. They presented guests with songs, dances, and poems filled with sincerity and emotions.
The event was accompanied by speeches in which participants emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine and Ukrainian children. The team of the “All-Ukrainian Association “Patriot” expresses deep gratitude to everyone who joined the event, supported, and shared. This exhibition marked the beginning of its journey through Switzerland, and another voice in the defense of children’s rights, life, and dreams.
