Mrs. Nina, like many other residents of the shelter, lost her home because of the war. Her story is a vivid testimony of why the shelter’s activity is extremely important. The aim here is to create not just temporary housing, but an environment of support and care.
Last week, the residents of the shelter once again received vital medical assistance from representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross. They regularly visit the shelter to conduct medical check-ups, measure blood pressure and sugar levels, provide necessary medicines, and offer psychological support. This constant help is critically important, especially for elderly people such as Mrs. Nina, given the limited access to medical services in frontline cities.
The “Patriot” Shelter in Zaporizhzhia is a place where people are given a chance for safety, recovery, and care. To continue this mission, aimed at supporting those who lost their homes, the shelter needs further assistance.
