Shelter in Zaporizhzhia: Life Continues Despite the Shelling

At the “Patriot” shelter in Zaporizhzhia, which has become a temporary home for dozens of people, life goes on despite daily challenges. This week, 13 new residents arrived, finding here their first warm room after losing their own homes.

According to Ms. Lyudmyla, the shelter administrator, they strive to create not just a safe space but a true community. Despite recent shelling in Zaporizhzhia, daily life continues: people cook meals, educate children, and help each other.

Thanks to cooperation with the city administration, practical issues such as sewage repairs are being resolved. For some residents, this week also marked a new beginning—they were able to restore their vision following successful eye surgeries.

Our team takes pride in this work, as resilience is shown not in words but in daily effort and responsibility toward those in need.
