This weekend, our team, together with the Veteran Corps of the Third Army Corps, conducted a first aid training session in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi District.
Participants learned how to act in crisis situations, make decisions in cases of severe bleeding, and ensure their own safety while providing assistance. Special attention was given to the “Three Ts” principle – pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Following the theoretical session, all participants had the opportunity to immediately put their newly acquired knowledge into practice.
Even an air raid alert did not interrupt the training. When the warning was issued, participants moved to a shelter in the metro, where the session continued without compromising its practical component.
Families with children and residents of various ages took part in the event. Throughout the training, participants asked numerous questions and engaged in lively discussions on how to respond in critical situations, maintain self-control, and assist others during the crucial first minutes following an injury.
First aid is knowledge that takes up no space in a backpack but can prove decisive in a moment of danger. These are the skills that help save lives.
