SupportIn a month, the team of our volunteers make about 10 humanitarian missions to the east and south. On April 4, they started another trip, with Kaniv as their first stop. With volunteers from the Kaniv organization Volunteers Kaniva, our guys collected a significant amount of cargo for our defenders, including: armored vehicle seats, camouflage nets, food, candles for the trenches and more.
Later, during the trip to Nizhyn, they delivered diesel fuel barrels for tankers and construction pallets. Arriving in Nizhyn, the guys already knew they had to pick up an important cargo. One of the commanders of the legendary Da Vinci’s Wolves unit had developed designs for special tank protection, which were recreated in Nizhyn. We loaded and delivered 5 powerful tank protection kits for the Azov and Da Vinci Wolves units.
Before each trip to the south or east, we always stop by the Novopetrivske community to visit our Nina Stepenko and Nemishayevsky Bees, who are always ready to help us and provide the necessary products for our military, such as tools, staples, stoves, and much more. This is what happened on April 8 before our next trip to the south. This time, we collected a large amount of medicine for our defenders. We are grateful to everyone who supported us and helped us collect such valuable aid.
The very next day, we headed east. Kharkiv greeted us with sunshine and loud explosions that its residents hear almost daily. A few weeks ago, we drove around the outskirts of Kharkiv, and some houses and neighborhoods were still intact, but unfortunately, the terrorists continue to destroy everything in their path.
Izyum. And finally, our long-awaited meeting with the 3rd Brigade unit.
We have brought everything the guys need: tools, medicines, bags, sweets, personal hygiene, camouflage nets. They are incredibly grateful for the help each time and always happy to see us. On the way from Izyum to Pavlohrad, we received a request we could not refuse. One of our fighters, whom we have been supporting for a long time, hit a mine and asked us to send a small package to his comrades: clothes, a generator, tools, and much more. With severe injuries and contusions, he, as a trustworthy, courageous, and dedicated soldier, is concerned about his fellow soldiers so that their service is no less comfortable. In Izyum, we also visited the Edelweiss unit, to which we sent many valuable and useful items to strengthen their combat capability.
A few hours later, our team arrived in Lyman to the guys of the 66th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We delivered an extremely large amount of essential items for the military and met most of their needs: clothes, canned food, pillows, camouflage nets, utensils, personal hygiene products, etc. On the way, we delivered tank protection for Azov, which they had been waiting for.
Finally, we are on the home stretch, on the way to Dnipro. There was one more and not the last unloading point on the city’s outskirts. We delivered the same tank protection we brought from Nizhyn to Da Vinci Wolves, as well as many other necessary things. We met a military man with whom we are friends, to whom we sent sweets, nets, tools, and medical supplies for him and his comrades. We talked, laughed, and were very happy to see him.
The mission of our volunteers ended at the Mechnikov Hospital, which greeted us with sincere smiles and wide hugs. The hospital we have been supporting for years, from sanitizers to rollators and medical beds, and many other things needed to make medical care more qualitative for our citizens.
On the way home, everyone was tired but happy because the mission was 100% complete. Today, all the needs were met, but tomorrow, there will be new ones.
The war is not somewhere far away; it is here, and the more we help the military and support them, the further they push it away from us.
