Yesterday, our team of the Public Organization All-Ukrainian Association “Patriot” organized and held an important and large-scale event – panel discussions “Children of Ukraine: The Future During and After the War.”
The purpose of the event was to create a public platform for interdepartmental, civic, and international dialogue on the protection of children during the war, with the child’s needs at the center. This was an opportunity to unite everyone who works for the safety and future of Ukrainian children.
The discussions were attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine – Iryna Vereshchuk, Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Children’s Rights – Oksana Chervyakova, representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, educators and international partners, as well as representatives of civil society. Such a strong circle of participants allowed the most difficult issues to be raised and viewed from different perspectives.
Holding these panel discussions became an important step toward forming a shared vision of the future of Ukrainian children. By uniting state institutions, security forces, international partners, and civil society, we created a space in which issues of the child’s safety, protection, and development were at the center of attention.
This dialogue is only the beginning of systematic cooperation, which will allow effective solutions to be developed and ensure that the children of Ukraine have a dignified and safe future despite all the challenges of the war.
