Yesterday our team delivered important aid to a military unit: 7 fully equipped backpacks for combat medics, 305 Israeli bandages, and 15 Latherman scissors.
During the transfer, we had the opportunity to talk to the military about their needs, tactical medicine, and most importantly the components of the medical backpacks the Government provides our combat medics with…
We listened to a real story, and saw real photos: Chinese turnstiles, Chinese bandages, Chinese occlusions, and in general, there are very few components of what a combat medic needs to provide assistance… However, reading the statements of the Minister of Finance in the news, who does not understand why volunteers raise funds, it becomes obvious that there is a certain misunderstanding between the government and volunteer organizations.
Every day we receive numerous requests for help, which emphasize the lack of resources for the military and combat medics.
We, the volunteers, have to come up with different ways to raise funds: organize lotteries, hold meetings with promises of gifts, and even become animators to motivate the public to donate.
We believe that understanding the necessity of our work and the contribution of every citizen of Ukraine to support our military is key. It is you and I who need our defenders to have everything they need to fulfill their mission, and we, as a society, must do our best to provide them with this!
