On the eve of the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion and on the anniversary itself, exhibitions of children’s drawings from the “Faces of the Ukrainian Dream” project were held in Antalya, Geneva, and Northampton.
In Antalya, the Ukrainian community gathered near the Taras Shevchenko bas-relief in the Ukrainian Culture Park. There, they honored the memory of the fallen, expressed support for Ukrainian warriors, and once again reminded everyone: Ukraine continues to fight. Alongside the symbolic display of children’s toys and lit candles, drawings by children from Ukraine were presented – works about dreams that are born despite the war. Separately, the exhibition was presented during a thematic event remembering Ukrainian children who became victims of war crimes and Russian terror against civilians.
In the center of Geneva, visitors had the opportunity to view the exhibition on the morning of February 24, and in the evening, a rally of the Ukrainian community was held at the Place des Nations. Children’s works became part of the public dialogue.
In Northampton, the exhibition was placed in a local British school. Teachers and students now have the opportunity to see what their peers in Ukraine dream of today – during wartime, in a country where childhood passes under the sound of sirens.
We are grateful to all the communities, partners, and volunteers who help speak to the world about Ukrainian children: about their losses, about their resilience, about their right to a safe future.
The “Faces of the Ukrainian Dream” project once again proves: children’s voices are loud, and they become part of the international conversation about responsibility, the protection of children’s rights, and a future that must not be taken away.
