SupportOn August 22, another free first-aid training session for civilians will take place in Kyiv. The training will be organized by the Veterans Corps together with the All-Ukrainian Association “Patriot,” MedPatriot, and National Resistance.
Over the course of four hours, participants will work through practical scenarios and personally practice basic actions that may be necessary in a critical situation before medical professionals arrive.
During the training, participants will learn how to:
- assess a situation and determine the appropriate priorities;
- recognize and control life-threatening bleeding;
- apply a tourniquet correctly;
- provide first aid for injuries;
- act before medical professionals arrive and in dangerous conditions.
The main focus of the training is hands-on practice. The theoretical component is designed to help participants understand the relevant action protocols, after which they practice the skills themselves under the guidance of instructors.
