The children of Ukraine had the right to a happy future, smiles, games, a cozy home, a friendly family circle, hugs from their parents, dreams, tranquility, and peace. However, the aggressor deprived them of a normal, happy childhood. The enemy brought shelling, destruction, and occupation. For our girls and boys, childhood means studying in shelters, sirens, loss of relatives, family separation, and emigration.
Our Ukrainian children have grown up in a flash. Unfortunately, what our children have seen and are seeing will stay with them all their lives.
“Faces of the Ukrainian Dream” is a project with which we want to tell the world about Ukrainian children and what they have experienced and continue to experience, those who have fled to find refuge around the world and those who have remained in the war-torn country, through their stories and drawings.
We plan to digitize and display the children’s works in the format of exhibitions and publications. The project aims to draw the world’s attention to the fate of Ukrainian children and support their dreams and hopes for a brighter future!
The first stage
We offered all potential project participants to create a drawing on one of the selected topics: “One Childhood for All”, “My country of dream”, “Ukrainians are Unbreakable”. To the drawing, the children added a letter telling about themselves, the war, and their dreams.

For all project participants, we purchased 215 shoppers, T-shirts, caps, bracelets, and stickers and sent them to different parts of Ukraine and abroad. Each participant received a gift and a diploma. In addition, we prepared and sent 10 creative kits to children on Knowledge Day, whose works were selected by voting with the participation of our partners and project ambassadors.

The second stage
After the first stage of the project, we discovered that most children dream of a modern, free, developed, and rebuilt Ukraine. To allow them to express their vision further, we launched the second stage of the project, accepting submissions from December 1, 2024, to May 1, 2025.
This time, participants aged 5 to 18 had the chance to create models, mock-ups, or drawings accompanied by descriptions on one of three proposed topics. Children shared their vision of Ukraine’s future, ideas for rebuilding specific sites in their towns and villages, or proposed technical solutions for the country’s development, including infrastructure, transportation, architecture, and cutting-edge technologies.

Printed Edition of the first stage of the Project

In addition to exhibitions, we have prepared and published the first album of the project, which has already become a significant informational resource for both Ukrainian society and a broad audience in partner countries.
The sincere thoughts and creative works of children convey the emotional essence of the events unfolding in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. They serve as a powerful reminder to the world of the importance of defending the future of the Ukrainian state, its young citizens, the new generation, and the entire civilized world.
You can also view the digital version of the album.
