Volunteer flight to Chernihiv region

Chernihiv region was an unforgettable adventure for our volunteer Anton. Today, we hope you can read his commentary and feel his impressions during the trip.

Together with the team, we went to deliver humanitarian aid to our Ukrainian soldiers who are defending our land from Russian invaders. The journey in that direction was remarkable: the further away from Kyiv, the fewer cars and people in civilian clothes there were, and the more checkpoints.

On the way to our guys, we noticed many grazing animals and an impressive number of storks flying everywhere in the small villages. When we arrived, our soldiers looked tired but in good spirits. Explosions could be heard in the background, adding to the unexpectedness of the blossoming forests and fields.

The soldiers were happy to receive help, even offering coffee, even though they had been on the battlefield just hours before. Their faces showed the joy of such familiar things as coffee and cookies. Our team was happy to have come all this way, knowing that every moment was worthwhile.

On the way home, you begin to understand many things from a different perspective after such a trip. Seeing the front line opens your eyes to the conditions in which our military work and fight and to the lengths they are willing to go to for the sake of peace in our country. Their dedication and sacrifice become a reality when you see their faces and feel the atmosphere surrounding them on the front line. This trip inspired me with a sense of pride for our defenders and a deeper understanding of why they are so important for our country and peace in the world.
