The family of Yevheniia, whose story can be read on our information slides, is not statistics or “temporarily displaced persons.”
They are real people who the war has driven from their homes, depriving them of safety, stability, and the life they once knew.
Their present and survival directly depend on our shared solidarity.
The Patriot Shelter in Zaporizhzhia is a place where such families find a roof, care, and a chance to start over. But this work is only possible thanks to the ongoing support of compassionate people. Displaced families cannot “wait for better times” — they need help here and now.
Last week, several events at the shelter once again proved that support matters every day.
- New residents received gifts from the international organization IRC — warm blankets and water bottles.
- We were also visited, as always, by the team from the NGO “Girls” (Divchata), who held a creative workshop. Even those who had never painted before created their own flowers and smiles.
- The shelter’s team works daily to ensure that this place remains a place of life, not mere survival.
Every new story — like Yevheniia’s — reminds us that shelter is not a luxury but a matter of life. Here, people need warmth, food, psychological support, and simple human attention.
The All-Ukrainian Association “Patriot” continues to hold the humanitarian frontline — and this is only possible together with those who refuse to stay indifferent.
