While some men are still deciding between the rear and the front line, these women made their choice long ago. Gentle, bright, yet incredibly strong — they joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that our country could have a future.
If in 2014 about 16,500 women served in the army, today there are more than 70,000, and a quarter of them are directly involved in combat. Despite this, our female defenders still face several challenges: a shortage of equipment adapted to women’s physiology, and the lack of proper service conditions both on the frontline and in the rear.
It is for these warriors that the team of the NGO “All-Ukrainian Association ‘Patriot’” is implementing the project “For Her.” Within its framework, together with our partner from the USA, Anna Bietina, we delivered sets of women’s military uniforms tailored to the correct size.
Although not in a Ukrainian pixel pattern, the uniforms fit well — comfortable, functional, and made with care.
We sincerely thank our partner Anna and her friends for their compassion and support of Ukraine’s female defenders.
